The Chu Sup Tsang Foundation was created by Ven. Geshe Tenzing Tamding with two main objectives. First is to assist individuals who are looking for mental liberation and inner peace. By helping individuals to achieve true happiness, we achieve the goal of world peace and harmony. In order to do so, the foundation is in the process of establishing a Buddhist University in Ourence, Spain following the Gelugpa tradition. The University offers students the opportunities to study various religions including Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, etc. as well as modern scientific knowledge. It opens to public regardless of religion, race, gender, monks or lay people.
The University will have classrooms, dormitories, cafeterias, a dinning hall and a library that can accommodate 350 people. The library will keep a complete collection of books on all religions as well as other philosophies and teaching materials for students. The first phase of the University is finished including a dormitory, a cafeteria, a dinning hall, and a small classroom.
Second goal of the foundation is to help homeless older people, handicapped individuals, orphans, and children without sources for basic education.
